对中国考生来说，雅思考试都想考一个高分的成绩，雅思听力和阅读是其中分数较多的项目。这直接决定了你能否拿一个高分，但很多同学可能在听力上很难拿分，或者是根本读不懂题目，这是为什么呢?杭州新航道雅思小编为你解析。
事实上，失分的原因可能是因听不到或者听不懂。听不到的原因很多，但是**主要的是paraphrase，即同义替换。其定义为以不同的词或结构表示同样的意思。
原因1：长时间不听英语，导致耳朵对英语的输入不敏感或不灵敏
听力确实是需要你耳朵聚精会神的同时，其反应和灵敏度的体现也非常重要。相比较于阅读和写作，听力它必须紧跟着录音里面的节奏听，如果稍一走神或者迟疑的话，那么答案就过了，而且机会只有一次。所以我们需要对耳朵进行长时间的训练，使其到达能够快速反应英语的输入。

原文里：Right then, first of all. There’s our intensive ‘Study for success’ on the first and second of February.
这道题目可以说录音中读得又快，又没有很明显的同义词替换，考生只有在听到首先等单词的时候，竖起耳朵全神贯注，然后听到2月的**和第二天才能把它做出来(隐形同义替换)，不然跳过或者错过的话，那只能瞎猫抓死耗子：“猜了”。这道题目笔者在给高中生或者大学生听的时候，他们中的70-80%往往听得到，但是年纪大一点的同学则不行。因为这些群体因为长时间没有接触英语，所以耳朵对其英语输入已经非常迟钝。
原因2：听力场景词汇没有掌握 对外国人发音不熟悉
Example 2：Cambridge 44 Test 3 Q2&10Q2: present address: Flat 1, 539, ..........Road Canterbury 2036.
雅思考试中，考生会听到各种口音的听力录音。特别是有些澳音和印度口音，所以考生在训练的平时多多留意。像雅思听力录音中就有印度口音的data， 我们熟悉的['de?t?] 会被读成['dɑ?t?]。 在盖该题中，考生会听到一个发音比较不标准的男生发aForest这个音，有些同学当时就很迟疑，但是考生你只要这样想，forest这个单词属于雅思听力旅游场景和飞机场或者火车站场景里的典型场景词汇，要知道老外对forest这个单词是情有独钟的，如果你对他们的生活了解一点的话，就知道他们的街道名、路名或者小时候喜欢去玩的地方往往都是选择forest的，所以如果你背过雅思场景词汇或者对老外生活稍微了解一点的话，那么哪怕你听到的口音不标准，只要是和forest有关或者相似的发音，那你就大胆地填这个单词就可以了，而且据统计，在雅思听力考试中，森林这个单词已经出现3遍以上了，所以这是一个常考的场景词汇，一定要把握住。
Q10: She needs to pay her part of the ........ bill.
雅思听力试题，其实都是大家在国外生活学习经常能碰到的场景，所以像这些场景所用的词汇或是句子，考生们**好能掌握。这样的话，在听力录音正式开始之前，你就可以对听力题目的空进行一个预测。该题中，其实就是女生要付的某种类型的账单，在雅思听力场景词汇里面，就有各种water, electricity, phone, gas bill等作为整理好的场景词汇发给学生(很多雅思老师都整理过这些材料，别忘了那句站在巨人的肩膀上，我们会走得更远。不过你有足够的时间，还是建议雅思听力一篇一篇自己整理其paraphrase的词汇或表达)，学生只要背过，就一定在这几个单词里面选一个就可以了。但是这道题目还有一个难点，就是录音中女生读的时候还带口音，这个phone bill听起来有点像中文的“方”bill, 所以有些学生还是会搞错。其实考生们不用多虑，只要牢牢抓住题干和场景词汇，付钱的账单不外乎这几种类型，这道题目phone这个答案就可以写上去了。在听力录音正式开始之前，你就可以对听力题目的空进行一个预测。
原因3：同义词替换(paraphrase)掌握得不好，这个是主要原因。
这个话题可以说是老生长谈了，要考雅思就必须掌握好paraphrase，听力和阅读同样都需要大量的paraphrase，不然是很难上7分的，可以说paraphrase是雅思听力或者听说读写要拿高分的**重要的技巧之一，如果掌握得好，雅思考试总分6.5或者7分以上唾手可得。
Example 3，Cambrigdge7 Test 4 Q13Q13：The local residents wanted to use the site forA. LeisureB. Apartment blocksC. A sports center读题时首先要圈信号词local residents, 然后等报道当地居民的时候再选出听到的那个答案(这就是定位)，但是难点是同义词替换，要知道在考试录音中，不可能把local residents报给你听的，作为难点，录音中一定会有一个“当地居民”的paraphrase，这个时候你就听到了：“local community当地社区”这个替换词来替换题干当中的“当地居民”。但是这个还不够，然后录音中出现的一个词是recreation, 这是个考点词。这个时候又是一个同义词替换，因为recreation =leisure是“娱乐”的意思，马上可以替换了。所以这道题目出现了两个同义词替换，分别是信号词“当地居民”和考点词leisure。可见雅思听力考试处处可见同义词替换，而且都是小词和比较生活化的词汇在进行替换，这也是雅思考试的难点之一。
